The series is based on their core values, one of which is "relevance to culture is not optional" While Erwin and I could disagree on many things, I think he really  nails down this issue of Christian-speak very well. Crazy enough....I've been blogging in this area too.</description>

		<description>i'm totally with you! (now that i actually read your post instead of just being excited you have a blog). I could rant about this for hours. The reason news shows report pettiness is that it sells...and the reason it sells is the American public is too uneducated about world affairs to be anything but apathetic. One of the reason that I dread the beginning of each school year is that i have to give up last year's kids, who've really started to have some good solid discussions, and start with a new group of i-don't-cares and turn them into holy-crap-why-didn't-anyone-tell-me-this-befores. It's a process.
